Technical Note : How to configure Windows version of Shrew Soft IPSec VPN tunnel with a FortiGate

This article provides an example guide of an alternative method for the configuration of an IPSec VPN tunnel between a device which is running on Microsoft Windows platform and a FortiGate device.

This example uses Windows 7 Enterprise Edition and Shrew Soft VPN client. This configuration guide should work with most Microsoft Windows platforms provided that the connecting VPN client configuration is compatible with the FortiGate IPSec VPN dial-up client settings.
