This article describes which command can be used to check the drops/packet loss on the interfaces of the FortiExtender.

Solution

Following commands will be helpful when troubleshooting for packet loss or latency issues.

 

get system interface

 

  • The above-mentioned command will show the interfaces available on the FortiExtender. In this example, the 'wan' interface of the FortiExtender is focused. Focus on the interface name based on the requirement.

execute ifconfig

 

  • The above-mentioned command will show the list of the available interfaces and the details about the Rx and Tx packets and also the errors and drops.

 

Example:

In the above-mentioned example, errors and drops show '0' and that says that there are no drops and errors seen on the specific interface of the ForiExtender.
