Technical Tip: Manage FortiExtender from different VDOM of FortiGate other than root VDOM
Description
This article describes if this is possible to manage FortiExtender on a different VDOM other than root VDOM.
Scope
FortiExtender.
Solution
FortiExtender can be managed on FortiGate only through root VDOM.
Managing FortiExtender from different VDOM (non-root VDOM ) of FortiGate is not supported for now.
However, it is possible to manage FortiExtender on the root VDOM of FortiGate and configure inter-VDOM routing on FortiGate to achieve the same requirements for other domains.
NOTE: For the Split-Task VDOM case, it is not possible to use FortiExtender because the root VDOM is only used for management, and inter-VDOM routing is not possible.
