Technical Tip: FortiExtender LTE connectivity is down and CONNMGR logs shows as 'CONNMGR :modem :agent_need_activate_sim:542 : | agent 0, agent_modem->pause_state_machine=110'

Description This article describes the CONNMGR error log on the Forti Extender and LTE is not working
Scope FortiExtender 7.0.3, 7.2.1.
Solution

- CONNMGR logs on the FortiExtender shows as follows.

.[524 ]CONNMGR :modem :agent_need_activate_sim:542 : | agent 0, agent_modem->pause_state_machine=107
.[526 ]CONNMGR :modem :agent_need_activate_sim:542 : | agent 0, agent_modem->pause_state_machine=106
.[529 ]CONNMGR :modem :agent_need_activate_sim:542 : | agent 0, agent_modem->pause_state_machine=105

To fix it:

 

Configure the LTE plan (APN details) and also the PIN for the SIM if required properly.

So that SIM can connect to the ISP without any issues.
