Technical Tip: FortiEDR - Windows Update Device Security compliance

Windows Update compliance is a feature introduced in Collector 6.1+.

This feature Windows updates – states the latest Windows update has been installed.

To validate the compliance status, select the vertical ellipsis next to the Compliance status notice under Device Security.

• If it is reported as Enabled, the latest Windows updates are current on the collector.
• If it is reported as Disabled, the latest Windows updates report are not current on the collector.

Note: If the device is compliant on the collectors side, a reboot may be needed for the compliance check to re-evaluate the status. Reboot the collector and wait for a bit and refresh the console page and check the vertical ellipsis status again.
