Technical Tip: Explaining Error 'Installation package is not supported by this processor type'

During FortiEDR installation on some systems, users may observe the below error: 'This installation package is not supported by this processor type':

Follow the below steps to resolve the error:

1. Run the MSI installer and collect the output of the below command:

msiexec /i <CollectorInstaller64_5.2.x.x.msi> /L*VX "C:\installer.log"

Note:

It will log the installation process output into the file 'installer.log'

MSI (c) (04:78) [xx:xx:xx:xx]: MSCOREE not loaded loading copy from system32
This installation package is not supported by this processor type. Contact your product vendor.
