Technical Tip: Unable to log into the Reveal UI with the LastPass extension

| Solution | The free edition of LastPass 4.102.0+ introduces an incompatibility with the Reveal web UI.
Symptom: When attempting to sign in to the Reveal UI, the login or login with SSO buttons appear to be inoperative. Errors will be visible on the Dev Tools console saying 'cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'childnodes')'.
Cause: The most 4.102.0 and later releases of the LastPass browser extension manipulate the Reveal UI encoding such that it does not function correctly. This only occurs when signed in with free accounts. Fortinet has been in contact with LastPass support but has been informed that they will not investigate issues that are present only on free editions of their software.
Workaround: The only workaround is to disable the extension, or otherwise switch to a paid edition of LastPass, where this issue is not present. |
