Technical Tip: FortiDeceptor, license expired after upload the license file

Description

 

This article describes that after uploading the license file, it keeps showing the certificate has expired.

FortiDeceptor.

 

Solution

 

This issue usually happens if the Hardware specs configured for the FortiDeceptor-VM do not fit the minimum requirements for FortiDeceptor-VM.

Usually, it is because there is only one network adapter configured, so add a second adapter from your hypervisor to FortiDeceptor-VM.

Also, make sure to follow the minimum requirements for the VM H/W specs.

If the VM requirements are met and FDN connectivity is functioning properly, try deleting the current license file using the command below, then upload a new license file.
