Description

This article describes the steps to deprovision FortiGate from one account to another.

Scope

FortiGate, FortiZTP, FortiManager, FortiGate Cloud.

Solution

If the user devices are still provisioned in their original account xxxx, it shows an error message saying 'Device is already deployed in another domain' when trying to provision them at the new account.

De-provision them first from the old account xxxx.

Log in to FortiGate Cloud FortiGate Cloud by account some.mail@example.com, go to Devices and Provisioning -> Device List -> FortiGate, select 'Options' dropdown selector, enable 'FortiManager Provisioned' (1), select devices (2), choose 'Actions' dropdown selection, select 'Deprovision' (3).

After the above deprovision operation, log in to the FortiZTP portal by using the new account xxx to provision them.

NoteRecently, there has been a change where Add, provision, or deprovision options are moved to Devices and Provisioning -> Provisioning page.
