Description This article explains how the account type configured in the Fortinet Support Portal determines whether an administrator's access level can be modified in the FortiClient EMS Cloud console.
Scope FortiClient EMS Cloud.
Solution

In FortiClient EMS Cloud, administrator permissions are managed under Administration -> Admin Users. However, the ability to modify an administrator's access type depends on how the user account was originally created in the Fortinet Support Portal. If a user is created with Full Access in the Support Portal, the access type in the EMS Cloud console is locked and cannot be modified.

In contrast, if a user is created with Limited Access in the Support Portal, the administrator's permissions can be adjusted directly within the EMS Cloud console under Administration -> Admin Users.

If modification of FortiClient EMS Cloud access is required for a user created with Full Access, the account must first be changed to Limited Access in the Fortinet Support Portal. After the change is applied, the access level can then be configured within the EMS Cloud console.
