Technical Tip: How to export FortiClient Logs

Description This article describes how to export FortiClient Logs.
Scope FortiClient 7.0
Solution

Logs can be exported from the settings tab:

The default severity is Information:

Select Export Logs. It is also possible to clear current logs:

Give a name to the file and select 'Save':

Note:

To collect more detailed information, set the log level to 'Debug' before performing any actions. Logging will only start from the moment it is set up.

Note:

It may be required to unlock FortiClient to export the logs using the lock icon as shown below:
