Technical Tip: How to download FortiClient offline installer

Description

 

This article describes how to download the FortiClient offline installer.

 

Note:

Registration of the FortiClient owner is required to proceed with this process.

 

Scope

 

FortiClient.

Solution

 

  1. Download the FortiClient Offline installer using these steps:
    1. Go to Support and log in.
    2. Navigate to Support -> Firmware Download -> Firmware Images
    3. Under Select Product, select FortiClient.
    4. Select Download to obtain the offline installer.

  1. Choose the desired OS and download the offline installer.

For example, if the desired Operating System is Windows, follow the steps below:
 
  1. Select Windows:

    FCT1.jpg
  2. Select the desired version (i.e., v7.00):

    FCT2.jpg                          
  3. Select the desired version (i.e., '7.4'):

    FCT3.jpg                             
  4. Select '7.4.3' (or the latest available version):

Note:
If FortiClient is intended only for SSL VPN/IPsec connections, select the HTTPS option on the right; otherwise, refer to the option specified in the license details.
 
Reminder:
'Pop-ups' must be allowed in the web browser; otherwise, the download will not work. For more information, refer to:

The version you have listed is 7.4.3.8758_64.exe
However then I logon to the firmware downloads I only see:

FortiClientVPNSetup_7.4.3.4726_x64.exe

Has the later version of the VPN only client been pulled?
I’ve seen references to a later version elsewhere as well.

I’m looking in Forticlient → Windows → 7.00 → 7.4.3 (which is where I found the older build).
