Technical Tip: How the administrator account lockout feature in FortiClient EMS works

The administrator account lockout feature has been introduced in FortiClient EMS v7.0.11, v7.2.5, v7.4.0, and above.

This option can be configured under System Settings -> EMS Settings -> Shared Settings by adding 'Admin Lockout Attempt' or 'Admin Lockout Period', as described in Configuring EMS settings:

With these settings configured, the remaining number of login attempts will be displayed after each failed attempt.

If the administrator fails three times, a wait time will be shown.
