Description This article describes how to disable automatic updates for FortiClient on Android devices through the Google Play Store.
Scope FortiClient Android.
Solution

This method applies only to unmanaged Android devices. If the device is managed by a mobile device management (MDM) solution such as Microsoft Intune, SOTI MobiControl, or any other enterprise mobility platform, application update behavior is controlled by the MDM policy and cannot be modified locally from Google Play.

Steps to disable FortiClient auto-update:

  1. Open the Google Play Store on the Android device.
  2. Search for FortiClient.
  3. Open the FortiClient application page.
  4. Select the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
  5. Disable the 'Enable auto update' option.

Once disabled, the FortiClient will no longer update automatically and will require manual updates from the Google Play Store.
