Troubleshooting Tip: Unable to activate trial Fortitoken with 'FTM license activation error: proxy server error'

For that, FortiAuthenticator is required to connect to URL: fortitokenmobile.fortinet.com. If there is a proxy server intercepting the communication, it is possible to find the following errors when trying to activate the trial FortiToken:
FortiAuthenticator log will show message: 'FTM license activation error: proxy server error: proxy server connection failed: <proxy server ip>, connection timeout'. |

| Solution | To resolve this, go to System -> Administration -> FortiGuard Proxy Server to configure the Proxy server IP and port number. It is optionally to specify a Username and Password for user authentication.
To do not configure the FortiGaurd Proxy server setting, consider to bypass the FortiAuthenticator traffic on the proxy server directly. |
