Troubleshooting Tip: Google SAML 'Remote User Sync' returning 500 users max

Description This article describes the phenomenon in which only 500 users are synced, even though there are more than 500 users in Google Workspace.
Scope FortiAuthenticator.
Solution

Even though there are more than 500 users, only 500 were synced.
But the SAML debug log shows that they are complete.

[Fri Mar 24 09:04:15 2026 JST] Process 32081 for rule 49 completed with status 0

 

The code that fetches users from Google did not apply paging to get more than 500 users.

It will be resolved in FortiAuthenticator 8.0.3 version.
