Technical Tip: How to disable sponsor field for self-registration portal on FortiAuthenticator

The sponsor field is used in the self-registration portal, where users can select a sponsor for approval.

The registration form includes a drop-down menu labeled 'Sponsor: Please Select' where users can choose from available sponsors, provided that sponsor users have an email address configured.

To remove/disable the sponsor field (if new users are not supposed to see the list of users in the dropdown), navigate to Authentication -> Legacy Self-service Portal -> Self-registration.

Disable the option Select User Groups allowed to approve new user registrations.
