| Description | This article indicates the command necessary to check the image type and firmware version of FortiAuthenticator deployed on AWS Cloud. |

| Solution | The image available on AWS Marketplace might not include the latest firmware available for FortiAuthenticator.
When checking the firmware version in FortiAuthenticator deployed on AWS Cloud, the following information is displayed on the Dashboard, System Information widget.
The 'Firmware version' field shows the installed version.

get system status
The 'Version' field informs the type and version of the image installed.
If an attempt is made to update using an image type other than the one installed, the following GUI message will be displayed:
When accessing the firmware download area on the support site, images such as 'FAC_VM-v6-buildxxxx-FORTINET.out' and 'FAC_VM_XEN-v6-buildxxxx-FORTINET.out' are available for download.
See this example:
Based on the example above, the correct image type for the firmware upgrade on AWS Cloud is 'FAC_VM_XEN-v6-build1391-FORTINET.out'. |
