Technical Tip: How to Allow access to FortiAuthenticator captive portal workflow help menu

Description This article describes how to allow access to captive portal workflow help menu.
Scope Enable captive portal workflow menu in FortiAuthenticator.
Solution

Most of the time Admin users will be forbidden from accessing FortiAuthenticator captive portal workflow help menu if service 'Guest Portals (/guests/, /portal/)' is disabled.

User will receive the following error:


403 Forbidden
You are not allowed to access this resource.
Please contact your administrator

Resolution:
It is necessary to enable service 'Guest Portals (/guests/, /portal/)' under port1.

Go to Authentication -> Portals -> Policies and select  the '?' help sign in the upper right corner, this will display the Captive Portal workflow guide.

Note: Starting from FortiAuthenticator version 6.6.X, the way to check it is a little bit different.
Need to click on the book showing "Understanding Captive Portal Workflow" next to the search bar
