| Solution | FortiAuthenticator 8.0 has introduced a new type of license named the 'Subscription license'. The subscription license has the following SKU:
**DD specifies the number of years e.g. 1, 3 or 5 years of support.
The 'Subscription Licenses' are not perpetual as regular licenses, and when support coverage expires, all authentication stops.
To use this license, FortiAuthenticator must be on version 8.0.0 or above. When applying this license to older FortiAuthenticator versions 6.6, 6.5, and 6.4: the license will be accepted, but not reflected in the system.
