Technical Tip: FortiAuthenticator Agent Installation requirements (Windows)

This article describes prerequisites for FortiAuthenticator Agent installation.

Scope
FortiAuthenticator.
Solution
- Ports need to be open:
- TCP 443 to FortiAuthenticator.
- TCP 389 to Windows Domain Controller.
- Windows OS does not need to be domain joined.
The Windows workstation, where the Agent need to be installed, does not need to be a member of the domain.
- Installation need to be done with Administrator privileges:
Run the Agent installation file as a Domain Administrator (example: either login as Domain Administrator or by selecting the file and select run as Administrator).
<2020/03/12 17:38:04> FGT3HD3914-----3 is selected as the master because it has EXE_FAIL_OVER flag set.
