This article describes how to choose the best possible channel using an Android phone and the Wifi Analyzer application.
Solution
Install Wifi Analyzer application using Google Play.
The Channel graph feature (left) shows surrounding channels. Choose the channel with the lowest interference. Keep also in mind that there are only 3 non-overlapping channels (1, 6, 11).
The Channel rating feature (right) gives a recommendation for the best/better channel.
