Troubleshooting Tip: Log-Fetch Generic error

Description The articles describe how to troubleshoot 'Generic error' while using 'Sync Devices' option for Log-Fetch in FortiAnalyzer.
Scope FortiAnalyzer.
Solution

After creating a 'Profile' in Log Fetch, the ' Generic error' shows up when selecting 'Sync Devices' options.

To resolve it:

  1. Make sure the Log Fetch Server (remote FortiAnalyzer) is up and reachable.
  2. Before selecting the 'Sync Device', make a fetching request first using 'Request Fetch' option:

  1. Use the 'Sync Devices' options again and it does not give the error.
