Technical Tip: How to add FortiAuthenticator to FortiAnalyzer Cloud

Description

This article describes how to add FortiAuthenticator to FortiAnalyzer Cloud.

Scope

FortiAnalyzer Cloud, FortiAuthenticator v8.04.

Solution

1. In FortiAuthenticator, go to Logging -> Log Config -> Log Settings. Under FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer, enable 'Send logs to FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer'.

2. Enter the full FQDN for FortiAnalyzer Cloud. For example: <account ID>.<region>.fortianalyzer.forticloud.com.

3. Enable Encrypt log transmission as shown in the picture below.

4. In FortiAnalyzer Cloud, select Add Device and enter the FortiAuthenticator serial number.

5. FortiAuthenticator will send logs to FortiAnalyzer Cloud, which can be seen in Log Browse and Log View.

6. Only FortiAuthenticator v8.04 and above are able to send event logs to FortiAnalyzer Cloud.
