Technical Tip: Creating a Custom report from FortiView (Export to Report Chart)

Description

 

This article explains how to create a custom report from the 'Export to Report Chart' option in FortiView.

 

Scope

 

FortiAnalyzer.

Solution

 

  1. Creating the Chart.
  • Go to FortiView and select the section desired to be viewed in the report.
    For example, 'Top Sources'.

  • Apply filters as required. For example, 'Source Interface- wan1'.
  • Select the Export to Report Chart.

  • Give a name to the chart and set the limit.
    For example, if the Top 10 sources are required, then enter 10 for the limit and Show Top (0 for all) for no limit.

  1. Creating a Report using the New Chart.
  • Go to Reports -> Create new -> Give Name -> Layout -> Insert Chart.
  • Select the chart.

  • Select OK (Insert Chart window) to add the chart.
  • Select Apply to save the changes to the report.
