Description
This article describes the steps to configure an alert email on a FortiAnalyzer when an ISP link goes down/up on a FortiGate.

Solution
The related KB article (Technical Note: Link monitor feature in 5.2) explains how to configure an ISP link up/down event on a FortiGate. In this article, an interface will be configured to go down when the link monitor fails. When this interface goes down, an event log will be generated and will be sent to the FortiAnalyzer.

  -  Event handlers on the FortiAnalyzer can be found under Event Management > Event Handler List. There are predefined handlers present for interface up/down.

  -  Edit Event handler

  -  Under Notifications, enable Send Alert Email and set email details.

  -  When the event log is sent to the FortiAnalyzer, this handler will be triggered and an email will be sent.
