Troubleshooting Tip: 'AV engine meet error: out of memory' message in AV Security log

The FortiADC will log the error 'AV engine meet error: out of memory' message in the AV Security log when the FortiADC temporary AntiVirus processing storage (/tmp_av) is almost full or full. There is not enough storage to store the files. This is because the files being scanned are large.

FortiADC provides the option to support scanning large files using the RAM Disk option. Refer to the documentation at the end of this article for more information on the RAM Disk configuration:
