Troubleshooting Tip: 'AV engine meet error: archive corrupted' message in AV Security Log

Description This article describes what causes the error message and the option to fix it.
Scope FortiADC and FortiADC VM.
Solution

FortiADC will log the error 'AV engine meet error: archive corrupted' message in the AV Security Log when the FortiADC AntiVirus feature scans a file that is larger than the configured size limit in the respective AntiVirus Profile.

FortiADC provides an option to increase the size limit.

  1. Go to Network Security -> AntiVirus -> Profile (Tab).
  2. Select the respective Antivirus profile.
  3. Edit the profile and modify the Oversize Limit accordingly.

Note:

Increasing the limit may reduce the FortiADC performance.
