Description This Article describes recovering the lost certificates to restore the connection between FortiADC and FortiAnalyzer.
Scope FortiADC, FortiAnalyzer.
Solution

If FortiADC shows that FortiAnalyzer is disconnected, there might be a certificate loss issue.

Further details can be seen by following this article: Technical Tip: FortiADC disconnected from FortiAnalyzer.

Once verified that certificates are missing, these can be restored.

For that, the license file has to be re-uploaded to the FortiADC.

The missing certificate is read from the VM License. When importing the VM License, the certificate will be read at the same time

Navigate to System -> FortiGuard -> Upgrade License and upload the License file for FortiADC.

Once the license uploads, the device will reboot. Pos that it will show the certificates as expected.

Expected result:

fn ls /etc/snca
snca1.cer snca1.key snca2.cer snca2.key

Note: If uploading the license did not bring back the certificates, then reach out to the Support Portal and create a ticket for further assistance.
