Technical Tip: How to obtain firmware images for Fortinet products

This article describes where to get firmware images for various Fortinet products.

All Fortinet products.
Solution
Firmware images for products with a current FortiCare service contract can be downloaded from the Fortinet Service & Support web page at https://support.fortinet.com.
Log in using your account ID and password, and select the 'Support' option, followed by 'Firmware Download'.

Select the appropriate Fortinet product from the drop-down list, then select the 'Download' tab.
All available firmware is held within folders corresponding to the various release versions. Navigate to the required release version folder and then use the HTTPS link to download the appropriate product.
For example, the download steps for v5.2.2 is shown below for a FortiMail-2000B.

Note:
For the HTTPS button to work, 'pop-ups' must be allowed by the web browser.
A copy of the release notes for the selected firmware will also appear within the folder.
