Customer Service Tip: Understanding multiple license expiration dates in the Support Portal

Description

This article describes the scenario in which two different license expiration dates appear for the same product in the Support Portal.

Scope

All Fortinet Products.

Solution

Under normal circumstances, a single activation date and expiration date are displayed for each product license type, as illustrated in the image below.

However, when a new license has recently been applied for or a future license activation has been scheduled, the Support Portal displays both the currently active license and the license scheduled for future activation.

If required, the license activation schedule can be modified. In such cases, a ticket must be submitted to the Customer Service team requesting the desired change. FortiCare Technical Support.
