Customer Service Note: Contract registration through device GUI

Description

It is not currently possible to register service contracts through the device GUI if the contract ID contains alphabetic characters.


Solution

The GUI validates the contract ID to be numeric whereas since July 2016 some contract ID's contain alphabetic characters.  This is expected to be fixed in v5.2.10, v5.4.2 and v5.6.0.

Contract registration can be completed through the Fortinet Service & Support web portal at support.fortinet.com, or by creating a Customer Service ticket.
